Healing Hooves & Sacred Skills

We began our Holistic Clicker training Program today with a grounding meditation led by one of our radiant students, anchoring into the Earth before engaging in this beautiful dance of trust and skill-building.

Valentine, our young mare with a challenging past, once reacted with intensity when her legs were touched—a reflection of fear rooted in early rough handling. Today, through the consistent use of positive reinforcement and holistic clicker training, she is learning to trust again. She now lets us place her hoof in the stand willingly, showing us the power of patience and healing presence.

Our divine masculine herd member, Slicker Wild, stepped in as a teacher as well—calmly allowing students who are brand new to the process to practice cleaning his hooves.

We then moved to the hitching post where students learned to tie a quick-release knot—an essential tool in safe and skillful horse handling.

This journey is about so much more than training—it’s about reclaiming a sacred way of being with these wise beings. We are learning not just techniques, but heart-led partnership, mutual respect, and healing across species lines.
