Horses 1st time Under Saddle Using R+ Clicker Training

Pamela’s final project in our R+ certification program was to ride Mississippi under saddle. Previous owners sent Mississippi to a five-week crash training, where she became terrified of being ridden, as I discovered during my first ride where she promptly slid me off. Those harsh training methods, combined with her strong personality, led her to have a very negative view of humans riding her. However, using R+ clicker training techniques, Pamela not only managed to ride Mississippi under saddle but, as you’ll see at the end of the video, they rode together completely tackless!
